Dear Dr. Romance:

I read your article "Motivation And How to Create It (Good Boss/Bad Boss)" and found it very interesting. I understand your point about celebrating and appreciating yourself to motivate your inner potential. However I am confused about how to order my brain for converting negative thinking to positive motivation. If we could go that far to recognize these differences, we would be able to react against our demotivation to get motivated. But I don't understand that how I should celebrate and appreciate myself when I don't have any appreciation of myself?

Dear Reader:

You can learn to appreciate and celebrate yourself and what you do. Your mind belongs to you, and so does everything in it, so you can learn to take charge and change your ideas and your mindset.  "Attitude: From Negative to Gratitude" ; "Gratitude, Kindness and Happiness" and
"Resolving Inner Anarchy"  will all help you to learn how to appreciate yourself.  It Ends With You: Grow Up and Out of Dysfunction has information and exercises for how to do it.
