Are You Here Only To Be Truly Helpful?

Many people say with pride—“I’m a giver.” However, no one announces, “I'm a receiver”—albeit there are more receivers than givers.

The age old question— “Is It better to give than to receive,” is a miss nomer. The truth of the matter is, while you are giving you are receiving and while you are receiving you are giving. However, why are there more receivers than givers?

The answer is easy and complex. There are more receivers who have a list of people who can be tapped into, who give and give. Those who frequently ask for ‘favors’ are emotionally needy. Therefore, their emotional and spiritual bank is empty. One is unable to give, if one’s bank is empty.

While givers might understand that Giving brings joy, gratitude, and satisfaction to the giver, givers also need to include that while one is giving one is receiving.

It is true you can only give from what you know and have within you. Giving from obligation or squeezing something out of an empty well is harmful to the giver and the receiver is none the wiser.

The Divine in us is full, whole, abundant. When you connect to that Truth, it feels easy to give, to share, to contribute. A ‘world that works’ for one of us needs to ‘work’ for our contribution to each other since we are all connected. Need I remind you that if you give more than you can give of yourself, you are not taking good care of yourself, and in the end you might be enabling the person, because you are easily persuaded to do something they could do themselves.

Take a moment now: Ask yourself—What is my highest place of personal gratification and where is it’s universal outlet this year?

A Spiritual connection has a foundation of Trust and Faith. Business and professional goals, financial measures, and action are the Focus. The combination sets the stage to be in healthy giving (and receiving!) with life now.

A combination of spirituality, beliefs, and habits are a strong foundation to create Peace of Mind, Happiness and Abundance.

As humanity moves into this time when the world needs everyone at their best, I continue to serve that mission and look forward to supporting you in giving your best.

You can start the New Year with a commitment to yourself you will only give without expecting anything in return and only that which you can afford to give in the moment. One of my favorite quotes of Ernest Holmes’, in his book, “This Thing Called You.”

My deepest desire is to personally grow in my trust and faith as I experience my Oneness with The Universe. And it’s clear to me that my purpose in life is to teach, share, and guide people through the exploration of how divine ideas connect to our everyday lives.
