What is the one thing you can never have too much of? Yes, you guessed it. Confidence.

As a child, most of us learn confidence from our parents or sports heroes. Unfortunately, not all of us receive the kind of encouragement and support we need from our parents while growing up. In such a case, you need to learn the skills to boost your self-confidence.

In today's fast-paced, technological rat race, you need your self-confidence at an optimal level. Many things can have an impact on you, e.g. an economic recession, losing your job, divorce, a failed relationship, etc. Often you have absolutely no control over the things that happen in your life and sometimes you do.

Having an ultimate unstoppable confidence level, attitude and belief in yourself, will help you to differentiate between when you do have control in your life and when you don't.

I am going to say it again: Confidence is the one thing you can never have too much of, but the trick is to learn to be self-confident and still be humble.

There are a few things that you should learn to increase your confidence levels:
1) Evaluate your current confidence level.
2) Identify the areas, which you need to improve.
3) Learn how to manage change in your life.
4) Learn how your brain works so that you can take control of your thoughts.
5) Learn how to stop negative thoughts.
6) Learn how to overcome negative comments from others.
7) Learn how to use body language to boost your confidence.
8) Identify what you focus on?
9) The words you use, including your Self-Talk, impacts on your Self-image and therefore on your Confidence.
10) Learn how to be Assertive.
11) Learn how to have a positive Attitude.
12) Taking responsibility for your actions and decisions. It is a choice: that which you choose to do AND that which you choose NOT to do. Don't blame others, situations or even circumstances for the choices that you make.
13) Identify your strengths & give yourself credit for them.
14) Improve your weaknesses.
15) Be grateful for what you have in your life and the people in your life. Show them your appreciation and love.
16) Control your emotions.
17) Smile a lot. It puts you at ease, as well as others around you.
18) Be prepared for events, e.g. an interview, meeting new people, doing a speech, etc.
19) Exercise. Motion creates energy; so move your body.
20) Learn to laugh at yourself.

Each of these areas listed above requires in fact further comment.

Self-confidence is a vital ingredient for success. You can sense a person's self-confidence through their body language, speech and energy levels. It's also not just in what you say, but how you say it.

So, it is important for you to know that you can learn how to improve your confidence levels.
