Answer me this... why is it when someone opts-in for a report, ezine, eBook, teleseminar or whatever it is that is offered from a website, blog or landing page there are some subscribers that think it is okay to begin sending their information to the person they requested the information from? It is likely that many of us who provide lots of opportunities for people to opt in for something get unwanted and "not asked for" information sent to us or worse yet, someone subscribes us to their list without our permission. You know what? It is not okay to do this. It is spam and you are likely losing more readers than you will get. And you might even be breaking a law or two. Do not think that just because you subscribe to someone's information they will be interested in yours? Not necessarily so. Why not set your systems up to attract readers who are genuinely interested in what you have to offer? To succeed in any type of business it is essential to be very clear on who does and does not want your products and services. So the next time you think it is okay to put someone on your mailing list without their permission, don't. It's not okay.
