Jadavpur University Admission Process

The admission process of the University is based on 12th Class marks. Subject wise the Jadavpur University Merit list will be published online. There are different courses which are taught in the university. For the Engineering Discipline, you have to appear in the Joint Entrance Exam. The Joint Entrance is conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB), and the exam is conducted in the month of May every year. Rank card is published after the exam. The Exam Routine of the Jadavpur University:

Before the release of the admit card, the date sheet has to be released. If we look at the previous patterns of the University then we must notice that the date sheet is always released one month before the commencement of the examination and the admit card is available online 10 or 12 days before the examination. Jadavpur University does not accept JEE Main score. WBJEE (Joint Western Examination Examination in West Bengal) is the single entrance test required to gain admission to the Technical Faculty at Jadavpur University. The University reserves 90% of the seats for candidates residing in West Bengal.

Admission to undergraduate programs at the Faculty of Arts is offered via a combined merit process in +2 and a university-conducted entrance exam. However, when enrolling in science courses only merit points are considered. For PG courses in science and art, admission is offered on the basis of merit (BSc / BA (H) results) along with an entrance test conducted by the individual departments.
