Do you have a book filled with reasons why you can not succeed in your life? People who live mediocre lives, are always ready to explain why they don't have, they don't do or they are not capable of being in a better situation in their lives. Look around you and you will see that successful people are not inclined to make excuses. They assume responsibility for their lives, they go beyond their limitations and shortcomings and live the life of their dreams. President Roosevelt could have blamed his paralyzed legs and done nothing with his life. Truman could have used his lack of education, since he not even finished High School. Eisenhower could have used his heart problems as an excuse for not succeeding. Tony Robins could have used being brought up without a father and being poor and Nick Vujicic could have used being born without limbs as an excuse for not living up to their full potential and doing the will of God in their lives.

There are many ways we can defend ourselves from this decease of making excuses. For example the excuse of not having good health. Millions of people use this excuse of poor health. They spend their lives depressed, worried, anxious and always seeking people to agree with them that they can not live a normal life. They live with self-pity, and they face their sickness with a negative attitude. They consider themselves invalids and spend a lot of mental energy worrying about what may happen to them. They love to talk to others about their health problems and how horrible it is. Now on the other side we have people like Nick Vujicic (you can google him and watch his amazing videos on the internet) who lives a very successful life, doing a lot of good to millions of people around the world sharing his story and giving a powerful testimony of how the right attitude is everything. He says: Attitude is Altitude! That's his motto. The right attitude towards life is everything you need to be happy and have everything you ever dreamed of in your life!

Here are some things you can do to get rid of making excuses in your life for poor health:

Refuse to talk about your health. Talking about your poor health is like putting fertilizers on the weeds in your garden. You make your sickness worst, stronger and more difficult to eradicate. Besides, this is a very bad habit which bothers people and make you look selfish. If you want the respect and loyalty of others this is the best thing you can do for yourself.
Refuse to worry about your health. Each minute you spend worrying about it, is one minute you loose of your precious life.
Be grateful for everything you have working well for you. There is an old saying that goes like this: "I was sad because my shoes were old and torn, till the day I met a man who did not have feet." Be grateful to the health you have, that is a powerful vaccine against the appearance of new deceases or new pains.
Remind yourself that life was made to be enjoyed. Don't waste your life imagining yourself sick in a hospital bed.
In upcoming articles I will continue attacking all the other excuses we give ourselves to fail and not live the life God intended for us to live: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11). God wants us to live a life full of prosperity and hope and He wants for us a brilliant future!
