Eligibility criteria
The candidates before appearing for the MSC physics entrance must check the eligibility criteria for the same which is given below:
M.Sc. Physics Programme
Degree of Bachelor (with Physics as one of the subjects) under the 10 + 2 + 3 education model with 55% marks in aggregate (or mixed in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) or Physics Honors. B.Tech applicants. The degree (electronics / computer/ electrical / mechanical) can also be used.
PhD Physical sciences
M.Sc. Graduation with at least 55 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics. Applicants with M.Sc. Mathematics should be at least up to B.Sc. in physics or chemistry. Exceptions may be created for candidates with B.Tech (Computer / Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical) degrees if they complete the entry examination effectively.
Scheme Of Test
M.Sc. Physics Programme -This Question Paper is made up of questions of the objective sort. All questions must be answered. One and only one of the five options provided for each question is the right response. There will be + 4 points for each right response. Every incorrect response is given-1 point. The use of calculators is allowed.
Ph.d Physical sciences -This Question Paper is made up of questions of subjective sort. This Question Paper is made up of two parts, Part-A and Part-B. All questions must be answered. Answers to each question should be written in space. The use of calculators is allowed.
