SCB Medical College

The first batch was started with the only 22 students into the MBBS Degree Course. The medical college was earlier known as Orissa Medical College and received recognition for an MBBS degree from the Medical Council of India in 1952. The postgraduate medical courses in MD/MS were started in 1960.

Admission Process
Undergraduate Medical Admission Process
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates seeking MBBS Admission in one of the best medical colleges in India i.e. SCB Medical College Cuttack must have
• Completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of MBBS admission.
• Passed HSC examination (Academic Stream of 10+2 curriculum) of any State/CBSE/ISC or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, with the group of subjects like - English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or Botany & Zoology) / Biotechnology and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology at the qualifying Entrance Exam. In respect of the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (NCL), the minimum marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination shall be 40% marks for Unreserved and General-EWS Candidates. In respect of PwD candidates, the minimum marks in the qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany & Zoology)/Biotechnology taken together shall be 45% instead.

MBBS Entrance Exam
NEET UG is a common MBBS entrance exam conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to the MBBS course in medical colleges in India.
