What is a Stroke?

Stroke which is also known as brain attack happens when blood circulation to the brain is cut off or disrupted due to clotting or bleeding. Medically it is known as “Cerebrovascular accident (CVA)”. It obstructs the oxygen to the brain which causes brain cells to die. During the whole process, the brain also gets deprived of essential minerals and nutrients that damage the brain. It is estimated that up to 2-3 million brain cells die because of this attack and it is the main cause of death among many individuals.
