The world will often tell you that the problems in your life are not your fault. Thousands will chime in with excuses that can convince you to give up on yourself. It’s popular today to talk about how ‘circumstances’ are very different from the past; when opportunity was prevalent at every street corner. In spite of the fact that our brains are more evolved than ever before, shying away from taking responsibility has become a main event in the minds of so many.

Your first duty in life is toward your own wellbeing and happiness. You are not being selfish when you make self-improvement your first choice in life. Because when you don’t value self-improvement, you’re not only unable to help yourself during hard times, but you’re also unable to be of any real service to others.

We begin learning early that we are living at the mercy of fate, or the super rich and powerful, or these trying times. So, what’s it take to see yourself as you truly are - an incredibly creative and powerful being? Because, only when you see the truth about yourself, will you come to the realization, that reacting like a victim is not a natural inclination.

Over the next five blogs, I will show you ways to realize that there are No Permanent Victims in our midst. When deeply realized, this fact serves as a compass that guides you toward the knowledge you need to take command of your life. Seeing the truth can be freeing when you deny the lies that make you feel weak when you are actually strong.

Victim No More tip # 5:

No longer accept that karma from past events has to effect your current experiences. And no longer accept that you have to pay penance for past mistakes. The only energy available is the energy that comes from your thoughts. Does that energy inspire your hopes or add fuel to your guilt? You experience an awakening moment when you decide to be triumphant in life. You do it by choosing thoughts that enthuse you. Make the following statement your fifth declaration-of-truth and mean it with all of your heart: “I deny the lie that I am a slave to my past. I am here right now to be the ruler of this moment and the ruler of my future. All that I need do is persist with ruling my life, and many obstacles will fall away.”
