Is Medication Doing YOU More Harm than Good?

All Prescribed Medications have side effects and these can lead to serious organ and tissue damage

This in turn will cause breakdown in these organs functioning properly for us for example kidney disease, Liver disease, heart disease just to name a few.

It has been noted that there are more people suffering from symptoms caused by prescribed medication than any other area of life.

Read below for some examples of the side effects of these medications, remembering that the longer you take them, then the more serious the side effects will be, causing long term damage.
•Anticonvulsant medicines
These may cause:
◦Dizziness.
◦Drowsiness.
◦Fatigue.
◦Headache.
◦Confusion.
◦Skin rash.

•Corticosteroids
These may cause:
◦Nausea and vomiting.
◦Swelling of hands and feet.
◦Increased appetite.
◦Increased risk of infection.
◦Osteoporosis (with long-term use).
◦Cataracts (with long-term use).

Because of the chance of side effects, doctors usually try to prescribe steroid medicines only for a short time.

•Opiate pain relievers
These may cause:
◦Constipation.
◦Dizziness, lightheadedness, or feeling faint.
◦Drowsiness.
◦Nausea or vomiting.

Opiate pain relievers are strong medicines that can be very helpful in treating pain, especially after an injury or surgery. They are safest when you use them exactly as your doctor prescribes. But there is a risk of addiction when you take them for more than a few days. The risk is lower if you follow your doctor's instructions on how to take them. Your risk is slightly higher if you or someone in your family has a history of substance abuse. If you are worried about addiction, talk with your doctor.

If you are taking a long-acting opiate pain reliever, make sure you know how to use it safely.
•Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressants
These may cause:
◦Nausea.
◦Loss of appetite.
◦Diarrhea.
Anxiety.
◦Sleep problems.
◦Loss of sexual desire or ability.
◦Headaches.
◦Weight gain.

•Serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) antidepressants
These may cause:
◦Constipation.
◦Cough.
◦Dizziness.
◦Dry mouth.
◦Headache.
◦Nausea and loss of appetite.
◦Decrease in sexual desire or ability.
◦Sleep problems.
◦Weight loss.

•Tricyclic and tetracyclic antidepressants
These may cause:
◦Blurred vision.
◦Confusion.
◦Constipation.
◦Drowsiness and fatigue.
◦Dry mouth.
◦Loss of sexual desire or ability.

There are ways that you can keep your level of pain at bay and prevent heart disease without harming your health, that are beneficial to your health.
