We are planting the seeds for our garden of life and business.

-Are you clear about what do you want to grow in your garden of life and business?
-What would your success seed look like?
-How would a seed that is blossoming as happiness, fitness and wellbeing look to you?

When you purchase seeds for your garden, you might know exactly which seed you want to buy, or you may look at the packet and get excited about the image. The image is what you expect to grow in your garden.

As in nature, our life and business will grow depending on what we plant and the image we expect. This process can be broken down into three steps:

1. Plant the Right Seed
Decide which seed you want to plant by getting crystal clear on your goals for your life and business. Write them down. Create an image for what they look like to you. Remember when you looked at the packet of the rosebush or tomato plant, it had an inspiring image. How will your seed look like when it has blossomed?

Our seed is our intention and as Dr. Deepak Chopra says, “Like you plant a seed, intentions can only grow if you release them into the soil.”

2. Water Your Seed
Once you decide which seed you want to plant, you need to nurture it. You have to water it, make sure the soil is good, ensure the environment is conducive for this seed, and it has enough sun or shade.

In your life and business, it’s the same. You need to take action that brings you closer to your goal and create an environment that is supporting your seed. For example, you choose the right friends and activities, exercise, increase your knowledge, and follow through on your business action plan.

Your actions are watering your specific seed.

You do the things you know you need to do to grow your business and you make time for the things you want to do with your family and for yourself.

While you are nurturing your seed, you also want to take care of the weeds such as unhealthy habits or an environment that is not supporting your seed.

3. Expect Your Seed to Grow
The seeds planted in your garden will blossom at the right time. You should expect them to grow and don't dig them up every day worried, “why is it not growing?” You know the seed has to start growing under the surface and you will not see the progress for some time.

This can be the most challenging part of our life and business. Often times when we don't see the progress we easily give up, we stop taking actions, and we stop watering our seed.

To sum it up, plant the right seed, set a specific goal, water your seed, take action, let go and expect your seed to grow.

Be confident and believe in the process. Know that the seed is growing even if you cannot see it.
