Bruce Ziebarth spends his life in a mission to help people. This has taken many roles. He has served as firefighter, on a federal Urban Search & Rescue Team, emergency planner, corrections officer, and part time minister. These positions gave him the opportunity to become a trainer. His dierction changed at the age of 28. He was diagnosed with ADHD. This began a journey to learn everything he could about ADHD.
He quickly realized that there is a large amount of misinformation about ADHD. Many well meaning professionals write about a condition they do not have. It is difficult to understand ADHD unless you have it. His lifelong love of helping people and skill in training came together. He started a blog to help people with ADHD realize that there were benefits. This blossomed into publishing a book.
He is very open about ADHD. Routinely, this provides opportunitites to talk with people who are newly diagnosed. They are scared. There are so many questions in their heads. He helps them understand that this is not the end of their life. It is the beginning of a beautiful journey. It allows them to identify the ADHD symptoms that cause them problems and associated strengths. By leveraging these two, they can achieve more in life then they thought possible.
"ADHD is not a disorder. It is passed down from hunters and gatherers. There are benefits."
"Harness the ADHD gift that God gave you. It puts you ahead in a non-ADHD world."
